International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Shashank Manohar has resigned while the board meeting agreed to take over the responsibilities of deputy chairman Imran Khawaja.
Former Indian Cricket Board president Shashank Manohar has twice been chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a two-year term.

According to ICC officials, the election procedure is likely to be approved by the board next week. It is to be noted that in the media reports, the name of Sourav Ganguly, the head of the Indian Cricket Board, has come up for the ICC chairmanship, while some members of the ICC board have expressed their desire to make Ehsan Mani, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, the ICC chairman.
