Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed that Scotland is to enter a new five-level system of coronavirus alert levels.
The new model reinforces from 2 November, when temporary restrictions on the hospitality trade are to expire.
It has five tiers from zero level to four which is to be implemented in different areas of Scotland depending on the condition of the corona virus.
The school will remain open at all levels.
The first minister said the new strategy was about striking the best balances we can between suppressing the virus and minimizing wider harms to businesses and individuals.
